THE LINGO PROJECT WAS STARTED IN 2023...
...by the mother-daughter duo Lina and Melanie. Who have a passion for loving God and serving people. They felt the call to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation. And their world starts right here in Columbus, Ohio. They believe serving their community is a priority and responsibility we all have.

This nonprofit was created thinking of millions of adults who missed the opportunity to communicate, connect, engage, and reach their goals and dreams because there are not a lot of places teaching languages. We know that there are thousands of people coming into the US every day. Some of these people are looking for a better place to live with their families. Some of them are victims of gang violence, and sexual, verbal, and physical abuse. They have crossed the border with their families, and some have even lost their loved ones in the process. Others are running away from the corruption of the government. In addition, we've identified people who were born in this country and speak only one language but are also eager to communicate with other cultures to create community.
In 2021, Lina and her family received the opportunity to use the Columbus Bilingual Academy's facility after school hours to welcome adults to learn a new language and we knew that was God providing a place to serve our community. After more than a year of praying, fasting, dreaming, and planning with the Lord and with the Columbus bilingual Academy, they now get to celebrate God's faithful ask. On Monday, June 19, 2023, we enjoyed the opportunity to witness the beginning of the lingo project.

God has started a movement in the city of Columbus through the lingo project to reach people who want to learn a new language but are not yet encountering the gospel.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
